Tommy Hilfiger unveils a cool range of imported footwear this Spring Summer 2011 season, complementing its wide portfolio of ‘Classic American Cool’ lifestyle products in India.
Having already established itself as a leader in International Lifestyle Brand category in India with apparel and other related categories, it now enriches its portfolio further with a line of Footwear with a wide assortment for both men and women.
The Tommy Hilfiger Spring Summer Footwear collection was unveiled on 9th March at Olive, Mahalaxmi by Bollywood actors Dino Morea, Shahzaan Padamsee and Shailesh Chaturvedi, CEO & Executive Director, Tommy Hilfiger Apparels for Arvind Murjani Brands. Karan Johar, Abhay Deol, Bipasha Basu, Nandita Mahtani, Surily Goel, Rocky S, Abhishek Kapoor, Ritwik Bhatacharya, Ayaan Mukerjee, Suzanne Roshan, Haseena Jethmalani, Queenie Singh, Pia Trivedi and various other eminent personalities from the field of fashion, business, film and entertainment graced the occasion followed by a sit-down dinner.

This new addition of Footwear will be available at all its exclusive brand stores and select department of Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle and Kapsons amongst others, taking its presence to over 100 doors in the initial phase.
There are two distinct footwear lines in the collection, namely Sportswear - catering to a distinct clientele that seeks a quirky and fun look and the Denim - for the edgy fashion forward youth.
The Sportswear line continues the overall flavor of preppy with leather, suede, canvas and PU styled in low cut to high ankle shoes. While boat shoes, loafers and slip-ons bring in the relaxed feel, the sneakers lend the sporty look. Colors and patterns are inherent to Tommy and hence reds oranges and multicolor plaids and floral provide the relief and distinction.
Denim on the other hand combines washed out looking textiles, brushed effects and leather with dip-dyed funky color-ways and trendy acid-washed denims. From ballerinas in prints galore and lace up’s in pop colors, to clog-inspired leather heels, there is truly something for every Hilfiger Denim woman. The collection for men inhabits a rare mix of rock ‘n’ roll meeting chic; with the incorporation of easy to wear slip-ons in pastel palettes to Flip Flops in bright vivid seaside freshness. Color injections such as pale banana and cameo pink are a breath of fresh air to this collection, giving a refreshing twist to the edgy Hilfiger Denim styles.
The flag branding to TH is key and is well played here as well. The 3 colors blue red and white are recurring in the shoes patterning. Many versions of holograms, nylon trims and embossing bring out the branding with pride and style.
The footwear collection will add to the portfolio of this leading international designer lifestyle brand in India, which has both apparel and accessories available in over 1000 select points of sale covering over 96 cities across India
