Businessman Ness Wadia has claimed that the sexual molestation allegations made against him by ex-girlfriend Preity Zinta are false.
“I am shocked at the complaint and the allegations made against me are totally false and baseless,” Wadia told Times Now.
He further told the news channel “It is disgusting that she would stoop to this level for media attention.”
As earlier reported, Preity filed a complaint at the Marine Drive police station in Mumbai. In her complaint she claims that Wadia molested, abused and threatened her inside Wankhede stadium in south Mumbai on May 30, during the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab.
She stated that during the match, while in the Garware Pavilion, Wadia came up to her, grabbed and pulled her and also used abusive words.
Preity was out of the city for some time and filed the complaint on Thursday as soon as she came back.
Wadia dismissed the claims saying she was surrounded by bouncers at the time.
“Utter lies and baseless allegations. She's surrounded by bouncers. How could I molest Preity Zinta,” he told TV channels.
Following Preity’s complaint an FIR was registered against Wadia under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
Preity and Wadia, who are co-owners of IPL teams Kings XI Punjab, ended their five year relationship in 2011.

ReplyDeleteJust because she dated him and they have split up doesn't mean she's doing this for revenge for any reason whatsoever. Just because they dated at some point doesn't mean that he couldn't have done such a thing. Just because they dated once, doesn't mean she couldn't be lying. who knows what really happened? Only they know who is telling the truth. I for one, wouldn't dismiss what either of them are saying.
ReplyDeletewhile we were having lunch, my father said 'Amazing what Preity Zinta has done! it's obvious she is doing this for some sort of revenge!'. I looked at my father and said 'How do you know what happened?'. I asked him 'if tomorrow something like this were to happen to me, would you say the same?'. He said 'No. That is different'. In short, that is the mentality of many people. Assumption to an extent that they believe it's the truth. But if it were to happen to one of their own, things would indeed be very very different.
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked by the attitude of some people here. Grabbing someone by arm and pulling someone without their consent is still an offense. So it isn't a case of molestation unless it involves touching of private parts? disgusting. This is exactly the kinda of attitude that gives a sense of righteousness to all other abusers out there. If you can bloody type a rant on the site then I assume you can read too. Pick a newspaper and read the content of her actual complaint. She clearly stated that he verbally abused her on multiple instances and physically manhandled her in this instance.
ReplyDeleteI know Aishwarya was great friends with Preity at one point. What happened now? I feel for Preity Zinta. She appears to be someone who fell in love with the wrong guy. I disagree with people who argue that she is an attention seeker or anything of the like. This is a serious accusation made by persons who are well-known and have a public profile to maintain. I am sure other actresses like her has gone through this but they never complained because that is just not the right thing to do
ReplyDeleteNess wadia's mother was right. Preity is just a gold digger and can do anything for media attention and for money. It's a good thing that ness didn't marry her and dumped her. This is a simple case of revenge and extortion. If she was really molested, then why did she wait from the 30th may until 13th june??....was she waiting to see if she could get some money out of him first????

It's funny how the womens rights groups and activists in india don't seem to be able to do anything for the 1000's of girls that are REALLY molested and raped on a daily basis....but are up in arms about an actress who claims that her ex-boyfriend pulled her arm. Since when was that sexual molestation in the first place?

ReplyDeleteYou're clearly dumb and biased....so i'll explain it to you as simply as i can. 1000's of girls in India get seriously molested and raped every day, and it is the responsiblity of womens rights groups to protect them and to make sure that they get justice....BUT NOTHING GETS DONE!!! Even very serious cases go on for YEARS....and yet womens rights groups are jumping up and down and demanding that ness should be arrested within 24HOURS. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE. Preity is capable of getting justice for herself, and this is clearly NOT a case of sexual molestation. There is no need for activists to go down to the police station and put pressure on the policemen...when clearly there are many girls in India who ACTUALLY need their help. These activist are just doing this for their 15 minutes of fame and to appear on news cahnnels....and they along with preity should be ashamed. There have been stories in the media years ago that preity slapped ness before when they were having an argument. This is not a simple case of a man abusing a woman. And it would be good if the feminist do-gooders at least waited to see the full facts before asking for ness to be castrated. If we believe preity, and accept that ness was abusing her for years....then why didn't she "the brave one" speak up earlier. Why did she wait until now when she has become bankrupt and he has a new girlfriend. It all looks very shady, and needs to be fully investigated.

Preitys actions are an insult to all the girls who are ACTUALLY molested. Especially in a country like india where there are 100's of rapes everyday. And as for the womens right organisations who are jumping up and down trying to get on TV to talk about this case....if they spent as much effort on REAL issues....then maybe girls wouldn't be raped, burnt and hanged in India.

She probably used that time to reflect on the matter and whether to decide to actually go through with this, because of the media attention in will bring (negatively) and we can't deny India has one of the most unethical media/ news broadcasting in the world.
ReplyDeleteI for one believe Preity, she has always been a fighter and this won't stop her now. Sad that it only brings judgement to her character for some. She was never into drugs, she sued the journalist who accused her of this and named and shamed him on twitter. Not to forget the Bharat shah case.. I hope she gets justice, and she is a role model for all of us. But the laws in India are still not up to par with those of first world countries of course, and she is still attending court for a defamation case she filed against a news channel which published a (fake) telephone conversation against salman and ashwariya, and she was mentioned in here in a very degratory manner. If the call is already established to be fake, why is preity still not getting justice for the defamation??? Really says a lot about laws in India...
