Amitabh responds to Madhur

The controversies surrounding actor Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s pregnancy and the film Heroine she was slated to do, are accelerating by the day. The latest has filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar lashing out at Aishwarya saying that she ‘hid the truth’ about her pregnancy, while the Bachchans are apparently upset with rumours of a loss to the tune of Rs18 crore doing the rounds.

“Whatever has happened between Aishwarya, Madhur (Bhandarkar, co-producer) and UTV (co-producer) is between them. I know that the rumours going around are not true. I hope that the truth comes out soon,” said actor Amitabh Bachchan on his way back from Ajmer Dargah on Monday.

False reports of there being trouble in paradise between Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty Kundra haven’t gone down well with the power couple , who clarify that there is absolutely no truth to these reports .Malicious reports such as these have obviously been spread by sources with vested interests.

To add to that rumor of Shilpa’s pregnancy has also deeply disturbed the couple and their respective families.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has for the first time spoken out about the controversy that arose after the shooting of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine was halted following the news of Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy. The actor says that the issues have been sorted out.

It’s been a quiet few weeks for this Casanova star who’s been linked to a new lady every weekend for the past couple of months. But now the grapevine’s buzzing again. It appears that the actor, while shooting in London recently for a new film, hooked up with a prominent Mumbai socialite who is separated from her husband. Mother of a teenage girl, the la-di-dah lady is believed to have set her eyes on the handsome actor months ago. She happens to move in the same circles as his aunt, and is connected to the film industry through her sister-in-law, a popular Bollywood fashion designer.

Rituparno directed Aishwarya in National Award winning films Chokher Bali and Raincoat, which were Box office hits as well. She signed his next film too called Devi Chaudhurani which was supposed to begin this year. But due to her pregnancy, it will go on floors next year.

Thanx so much for all your FANTASTIC comments . . . truly touched and humbled . . . just one clarification . . . my comment on Rani was hardly a derogatory remark . . . its just a comparison . . . an obvious one at that . . . I am a HUGE fan of Rani's by the way and think that she is easily the BEST actress of our times . . . would so lovvvvvve to work with her when I can . . . hence the comment she is not 'considered' hot . . . I didn't say she isn't hot . . . but 'mass sex appeal' has other parameters and my point was that Motherhood has nothing to do with it like the way the debate was being portrayed . . . so hey Rani Fans . . . chill . . . I am soooo one of you!!! :)

Murder 2 and Chillar Party this Friday

Well the first is a biggie of some sorts and a sequel to the hit Murder (2004). It has a second tier star in Emraan Hashimi and to provide the ooomph factor Jacqueline Fernandez. Directed by Mohit Suri who has given a few successful films namely Raaz (2009) and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The film has been given an A certificate for obvious reasons.

The second film is joint collaboration of Salman Khan and UTV. It is the first film Salman has ventured into as a producer. Directed by Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari the film stars a group of kids and a dog. Ranbir Kapoor has also made an appearance in the film in the song ‘teri tai tai phiss’.

Force is a remake of the Tamil hit Kakha Kakha which was a huge hit. The movie stars Genelia and John. The song in the trailer was in Kaka Kaka too and was a huge hit.

I totally love this cover. Farhan though a very handsome man always looks worried/tense in photoshoots. He needs to relax a bit.

Madhur Bhandarkar has finally broken his silence. He opened up on the whole Heroine issue in his blog.

Today I am sitting alone in my office after the plugs being pulled off from my film Heroine… My conscience stands clear as I have been honest to my craft irrespective of the repercussions…. No which way would I have trampled my dream project on which I have given my sweat and blood for almost 1 1/2 years…. This was going to be my most ambitious project of my career… My inherent belief is that motherhood is pious and I am humbled by it. I must also add that I salute every woman who chooses to work in this extremely delicate state. To put things in perspective, I am a man who is surrounded by women in my family. My wife, my sister, my mother and my daughter…. These are the people that make my life! In fact my wife when she was carrying my daughter worked through her pregnancy….but in the same breath I would like to say that I will never knowingly put a woman in harm’s way knowing the delicate nature of her health. My entire career stands on the strong pillars of women oriented films. This stems from the fact that I am sensitive to the entire aura and mystique of a woman and womanhood.

Aamir Khan's latest film, Delhi Belly, will see a sequel titled Disco Fighter, with Khan in the lead role along with the current cast. It will reportedly be directed by Aamir's wife Kiran.
Meanwhile, Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap maker Puri Jagannath will soon meet Amitabh Bachchan for the Big B starrer's sequel.

A gag in the film Delhi Belly may just prove a roadblock for the film’s dream run, with an automobile brand threatening to take the producers to court. In the film, Imran Khan’s character is gifted a red car by his would-be father-in-law. On seeing the car, which strongly resembles a Santro, one of his friends comments, “When a donkey f***s a rickshaw, this is what you get.” The joke hasn’t gone down well with the car’s makers, who are demanding that the derogatory reference be taken off the screen.

If you caught Siddharth's episode of India's Most Desirable, he seemed to deny any sort of implication Simi made that he was dating Deepika.
