The first teaser poster of Sonam Kapoor’s much awaited film ‘Khoobsurat’ was released today. The movie is a remake of Rekha-starrer 1980 film.
The poster shows the bottom of a girl wearing blue and white polka dot pants, chunky accessories and colourful sneakers. The way with which the girl is standing shows she is upto something mischievous.
The tagline of the movie is ‘The Royal Mis-fit!’. Going by the 1980 movie if you see the teaser this surely looks like a royal mis-fit.
The 1980 film also featured Rakesh Roshan and Ashok Kumar. It shows how a fun loving girl comes to stay with her sister and changes the strict atmosphere of her in-laws’ house.
It will be a treat to see Sonam get into Rekha’s shoes.
‘Khoobsurat’ also features Fawad Khan, Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Prosenjit Chatterjee.
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the movie is produced by Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur. It is scheduled for a September 19 release.
