well well well coming from looser...anywaz I think Asin has nuthing to prove. she is already a hit in South where actress have some story line unlike North Indian movies where gals now only have to shed weight and wear bare minimum.

ReplyDeleteactually its funny how he is talkign abt meaty roles, when the poster behind him is Murder 2 poster, a movie where basically the heroine had nothing to do...she was only there to titilate the audience..So tell us Mukesh, what abt Jackeline Fernandes, any futur in Bollywood?
ReplyDeleteAsin is a great actress and she did a good job in all of her hindi films, I'm so dissapointed with this hideous statment, If you call Asin non actress than you should kick Sonam, Katrina and Deepika out of bollywood coz they are embarrassment of hindi cinema, why won't he advice them to go for more challenging roles? Katrina's films are also sucsessful coz of Salman and Akshay........such hypocrisy!!!

Women are treated as second class citizens and always have to fight n bicker with each other in order to get attention from media n these disgusted men to cast them. Male dominance in bollywood is a big discrimination! Any female that fight back does not get any offers! In addition, most of female bloggers especially younger ones contributes to this animosity, too. How can women protect each other without pigs like him create conflicts and decide which girl will rule!

ReplyDeleteWell she does seem to be going down the glam doll, oomphy prop route if her choices are anything to go by... Ghajini, Ready and soon Housefull 2. All had nothing for her to do but look pretty. But unlike Katrina Kaif, the current glam doll #1, she doesn't have the right looks to go with it. That sex-appeal etc.
ReplyDeleteSo he is very right she won't make it the way she is going... she either needs to pick scripts, with real characters that showcase her acting mettle or really work on her styling, make-up, body & looks to fit the glam doll mould.
I'll agree with him actually.. She is not one of the spoken actresses eventhough she debuted in 2008. On the other hand Anushka who debuted same year has made a place in the industry. Asin doesnt really have the luks, her films is a hit because of the Co- actor.. like Amir nd salman !

ReplyDeletewell she has starred in 2 big films but - salman and aamir have attracted the crowds, i doubt that the crowds were pulled in by her. if you put her in a hindi film by herself or with a lesser known actor, then, the film probably wouldn't work as well as if someone like pc, deepika, kareena, katrina etc but she DEF has a future in the south . she seems like a sweet, hard working person - i don't find any problem with her or her acting which is decent.

ReplyDeleteAlthough it is very mean of him to say that, i agree that neither Ready nor Ghajini worked because of her. Even though London Dreams had two superstars in it (Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan) why didnt it work? I personally really liked LD. Sometimes it is merely about luck. I do like Asin though. She is one of the only actresses that i CAN tolerate both on as well as off screen.
