'The Desire' is a passionate story about dance, music, art and love that knows no borders. This film has won the best narrative feature film award in the Geneva International Film Festival, where the film was premiered. Shilpa Shetty and Chinese actor Xia Yu play the lead roles. Anupam Kher, Jayapradha, Vikram Gokhale, and Asif enact important characters in the movie. Sankar Ehsan Loy and Viswamohan Bhat have composed the music. Shot in Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh in India and in various locales in Malayasia.

ReplyDeleteIt could've been interesting but it looks more like a sad attempt as a ''cross-over'' film with everything mixed in order to attract the WESTERN attention. weird. but am prolly gonna watch on dvd.

ReplyDeleteSo many stories in one film.... Shilpa and her mom, then shilpa and the Chinese actor, shilpa and a female dancer... the female dancer who is a lesbian... I'm sure this will come across as a stupid movie... I may watch this for Jayaprada. BTW.. Anupam kher is Gay in the movie... Why should all dance, media, actors story have a gay comedian?
ReplyDeletethe trailor doesnt make sense ... shilpa dances as an odissi dancer ...but somehow manages to dance around in a skimpy outfit in one of the shots. ...where do the lesbians fit in?
