The victim was looking for an auto-rickshaw in the Vishwas Nagar area of east Delhi on Friday night to reach her home in Anand Vihar.
She told police two people, in their early 20s, overpowered, thrashed and molested her. When she resisted, they pushed her and snatched her iPhone and purse that had at least Rs.5,000 in cash.
Police said the victim appeared in two Bollywood films and also co-produced some other movies.
A case of molestation and robbery has been registered against unknown people.

ReplyDeleteThis is a serious problem in india. Its so difficult for women to be independent in india as they cannot go alone anywhere. When will women ever be able to feel safe in India? Change needs to happen but how can one bring change? What can us lay people do as we cannot depend on anyone else or else nothing will ever change. Its so sad.
