As a keen and avid follower of Bigg Boss, I am sometimes amazed and stunned at the kind of house-mates that the Bigg Boss team manages to procure. Though most of them are from the field of entertainment, BB also has a trend of including a self-made hero from humble beginnings, a celeb who owes celebrity status to a steaming 'controversy', a 'foreign' beauty, a real-life couple and so on.
Well, we know the trend of selection by now. However, what I am stunned at, is the range of temperaments of the contestants. While some of them are mild, subtle, some a little more aggressive and some others, totally ill-humoured and downright scornful. But then, this is perhaps a sample of the human race and all its complex characters.
Coming back to the Bigg Boss 7 house, WHAT is wrong with Armaan Kohli? Why does he boil, fume and foam at the drop of a hat? Be it Kushal, Gauhar, Andy, Kamya, Asif, Ajaz, Elli, or Sangram, they all have heard it from him at least once. The colorful venom that he spews from his mouth is pathetic and crude, to say the least. Thinking of it from a more philosophical point of view, God save the life-partners of such angered-on-the-drop-of-a-hat people. Well, I only hope it won't be the cute but a tad silly, Tanisha Mukherji.
The girl seems to be genuinely in love. Sometimes it feels like 'too much in love'. Like the times when you become totally blind to all the bad treatment from your lover. Though I saw her taking a slightly stronger stand in the last couple of episodes and raising her voice against Armaan a wee bit, the girl has a long way to go in terms of understanding what is happening. Perhaps being confined within the four walls of a home for days together does clog your brain to an extent. Still, how can someone take such nonsense from the person they consider the closest? Sometimes I wonder what will happen to this couple once they return to the real world! Perhaps they will separate. Well then, no one ever predicted the future right, did they?
Out of curiosity, I ran a search for Armaan and saw that he was detained for beating up his then girlfriend 'Moon Moon' in 2008. Well, this scares me all the more. Old habits die hard, they say.
