While family members and close friends are finding it hard to come in terms with Jiah Khan's suicide, a 12 year old boy in Sriganganagar city just could not cope up with this tragedy.
Apparently, the fifth class student of Gurunanak Basti, Baabu, had been continuously watching the coverage of Jiah's suicide case on TV and then hung himself from a ceiling hook in his home, investigating officer (IO) Ramesh Kumar told PTI. His parents suspected that the news of Jiah Khan's suicide troubled him and triggered him to take this extreme step.
The boy's body was handed over to his father after postmortem, IO added.
I also wanted to hang myself from ceiling fan but we are so poor we don't have electricity in our guffo.
ReplyDeleteHe was a 12 year old.And a BOY.Don't want to sound mean but guys get some 'thrill' with such things.There is a reason why there is a disclaimer with every ad that shows bike/car stunts. Anyway,RIP.
ReplyDeleteOh my God! These news channels should think twice before sensationalizing such incidents. I don't think he was "upset" about her death....he was 12...he probably just wanted to try it out or something. You know, how curios kids are and if they are not well informed about such things they might end up experimenting. This is really sad.....RIP!
