Bollywood mourns Vilasrao Deshmukh

Union minister and former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who has been battling liver cancer in a city hospital, died here on Tuesday afternoon. He was 67.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Deshmukh family during this tragic time.

The Hindi film fraternity wished peace to the departed soul and strength to the late minister's family, including his actor-son Riteish.


Vilasrao was 67 and is survived by his wife and three sons.

Celebrities like Madhuri Dixit and Karan Johar extended condolences to the bereaved family through Twitter.

  2. I may sound mean but this is all Karma... He was corrupt and god punished him for his misdeeds... He was the cause of death of tons of vidharbha farmers. One less corrupt politician before independence day!
