"If he is Big B, then I am double B" - Shatrughan Sinha

Shatrughan Sinha, whose stint as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati in Bhojpuri is already being compared with Amitabh Bachchan, the current host of Kaun Banega Crorepati in Hindi, says he will not imitate his yesteryear's contemporary.

"If he is Big B, then I am double B (Bihari Babu)," says Sinha jokingly. "Why shold I imitate Amitabh Bachchan? He has his own style on KBC and I will have my own. I don't claim I'm better than him but I don't feel I'm inferior to him either. He's an old friend."

Kaun Banega Crorepati's first season aired in 2000. Bachchan hosted season two, and more recently season four. The show is poised to return later this year for season five.

Shatrughan SinhaSinha says he's aware that Bachchan's performance as the anchor casts a long shadow but is confident that his own original style will connect with the Bhojpuri audience. "Be it films or TV shows, I have never copied anyone. I think it's for the viewers to judge our performances," he adds.

The actors worked together in Dostana, Shaan, Naseeb and Kala Pathartogether. Sinha, who is rehearsing for Ke Bani Crorepati, agreed to anchor the show to promote Bhojpuri language.

"It was spoken by leading personalities of the country including the first President of Independent India Rajendra Prasad, Loknayak Jayprakash Narayan and late Prime Minister Chandrasekhar. I wish to spread the awareness about the language," he adds.(Bihari Babu)," says Sinha jokingly. "Why shold I imitate Amitabh Bachchan? He has his own style on KBC and I will have my own.
