Priyanka Chopra meets Lady Gaga

We often hear about western celebrities going to India and hanging out with Bollywood glitterati. This time we can reveal that our Desi diva from B-Town, Priyanka Chopra, met up with pop sensation Lady GaGa, Tuesday night! The two hung out after GaGa's Madison Square Garden concert. Chopra has been a fan of Lady GaGa's music for a while and told DesiHits.com, "I like her tracks, "Poker Face," "Bad Romance," and "Drag Queen," so it was great to see her perform."  The actress spent some time with GaGa after the concert and told us, "She is keen on doing something in India. I think she is going on an Asia tour soon and that's really cool. I think it would be great for her to come down [to India]."

Anjula Acharia-Bath, who brought the two stars together, said of the meeting, "'it was so serendipitous that Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood's hottest female actress was in NYC the same time as pop icon Lady GaGa.  We had been planning their meeting for a while now as management on both sides were keen for them to meet, so we made it happen!  Seriously, how often do you get two absolute power houses from East and the West to meet? It was incredible to see PC and GaGa hang out together and swap notes about global domination, music and of course the world's largest movie business, Bollywood."
Priyanka also told us how impressed she was with Lady GaGa at the concert, especially when she shared her signature message 'be yourself,' "It was great to see her, her voice surprised me, she has a great voice live!" Priyanka said. "I loved the way she connected with her fans, people really connected with her and her message 'be proud of who you are,' it's a great message." The concert made Priyanka reminisce about when she performed at Madison Square Garden, "When we did shows at Wembley and Madison Square Garden a few years ago, it's an amazing feeling to be on stage."

Besides Lady GaGa, Chopra also likes other artists in the West and told DesiHits.com she listens to "Rihanna, Beyonce, and Eminem, a lot of pop, Euro trance, underground dance music, and Swedish House Mafia."  It was a nice break for Priyanka to check out Lady GaGa in concert as she just released her film, Saat Khoon Maaf, which she spoke about and said, "We had amazing reviews by most critics, I was overwhelmed with the response I got for my performance, it's a different kind of movie, I'm proud to be part of it."
Chopra knows that her fans are to thank for that. She tells DH! readers, "Thank you for your support, love always, I am who I am because of you, please keep supporting me, it's what keeps me going."
