Deepika Padukone was one of the speakers at the India Today Conclave 2014 which took place in New Delhi on Saturday. She spoke about her journey in Bollywood and her much talked about love life. She was a part of a session titled 'Blockbuster Express: Why Heroines are the New Heroes.'
When asked if she and Ranbir Kapoor will ever get back, she said, "It's not something that has ever crossed my mind. We have both moved on. It has made both of us better persons. I made me realise I should not be so attached to one thing or a person - after the break-up the fact that I had to pick myself up. I cried a lot after my break-up. But I have become a better person and I thank him for that."
And of course, no interview of Deepika is complete without the mention of Ranveer Singh and the same happened this time. She was asked about the status with 'good friend' Ranveer and she replied saying, "I'm at a stage when I don't want to rush into anything. For a young girl, I should have the option of knowing a person and to be sure about the person you land up with. I understand the scrutiny of people, wanting to know about us."
We wonder how long that will take!
Another interesting answer was when she was asked how she will react if she sees her boyfriend in bed with her arch rival. "Oh no! I can't go through that again" came her reply!
Ahem! Did she subtly just take a potshot at Ranbir?
So she caught her boyfriend in bed with her arch rival... hmmm.
ReplyDeleteThese kind of statements from Deepika makes me think that she is still not over with Ranbir Kapoor & given the chance again she would easily leave Ranveer Singh & will move back to Ranbir Kapoor just to get Katrina out of his life.

i really don't like it when she takes rk's name and i know many will not agree with what i'm about to say ,but here is what i think, sometimes it feels like her taking his name is her way of telling him she has moved on stop trying to get me back . yes i'm one of the very few ppl who think it's the other way around and her talking so openly and comfortably about him is one of the reasons why i think that ,rk on the other hand doesn't talk about her coz first he's the one who cheated and second he looks very flustered whenever her name comes up i mean check out his interview with komal nahta when he was promoting yjhd at the very mention of her name he looked so nervous and started fidgeting and it's always like that with him and that's why he doesn't like taking her name it reminds him of what he had and lost forever also the fact that his pr manage to make so much of what she does, about rk makes me think he pays attention to every little thing she does like for example when she was once wearing a yellow leather jacket and there was an article about how ranbir also has one like that and that if they happen to meet that day it would look like a couple with matching outfits" i mean seriously " also when ranveer was coming home from NY and he was wearing a woolen cap , a leather jacket and glasses there was an article about how he's dressed like ranbir coz let's face it rk is the only one who wears such things and the article concluded that dp wants rs to look like rk,do you see how much attention his pr pays to these two if he has really moved on he shouldn't have been as possessive about her as he was during yjhd promotions he shouldn't have said that he loves her and he will always love her , he shouldn't have kissed her at a party. having said that i really wish she'd stop talking about him ,coz ppl will never get the real reason why she does ,they will mistake her telling ranbir and the media that she has moved on for pining and bitterness even though they see how happy she is now and how miserable and lost ranbir looks.
Ridiculous and mischievous title. I am Deepika's biggest fan. BUT NEXT TIME SHE MUST SAY SOMETHING LIKE: I have said everything I have to say about my relationship with Ranbir. It's in the past.

It's funny (and disappointing) to see comments like how Deepika saying, "I can't go through that again!" is disrespectful to Ranbir & Katrina. Firstly, she didn't even take their names - it's all YOUR assumptions meaning in your head you think it's a possibility that RanKat could have indeed been caught by DP in bed. And secondly, maybe RanKat should have thought about respecting Deepika (& Salman) back in 2009 when they decided to cheat on their respective partners for each other.
And all those comments coming from Katrina fans about how Deepika doesn't have any self-respect for continuing to talk about her ex? Seriously? Katrina still talks about Salman - is she disrespecting herself then? And Deepika just talks about her ex, Katrina went back to Ranbir after he *apparently* got too close with Nargis. Like seriously, stfu. Their 'self-respect' isn't limited to what happens with Ranbir!
Seriously, I think both Kat & Deepika are wonderful but their fans need to stop talking about 'respect' because they end up sounding like hypocrites!
