As per Mumbai Mirror, the wedding of the year lived up to its ostentatious promise in Hyderabad. Business tycoon GV Krishna Rao and parliamentarian Subbarami Reddy’s granddaughter Mallika’s Rs 100 crore wedding had all the ingredients of a mega carnival - the controversial wedding invites with the national emblem, the Bollywood presence (though your diarist has learnt that every actor was well compensated for every minute spent shaking hands with invitees and shaking a leg or two),
The star of the season was in fact missing in action. Your diarist has learnt that Salman Khan had been offered a jaw-dropping Rs 20 crore to make an appearance at the wedding, which he politely turned down.
