“Khoobsurat” has done a business of 375,000 pounds in two weeks in the United Kingdom. The movie takes the fifth spot among the top grossing Bollywood movies of 2014 in UK.
The Sonam Kapoor, Fawad Khan-starrer is behind Salman Khan’s “Kick”, Alia Bhatt & Arjun Kapoor’s “2 States”, Salman’s “Jai Ho” and “Gunday”, which featured Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Arjun.
It is possible that with some more business in the third week the movie can push “Gunday”, which did a business of 424,000 pounds, to the fifth spot.
“Khoobsurat”, a remake of the 1980 Rekha-starrer “Khubsoorat”, was the story of a mis-fit who gets romantically involved with a prince. Directed by Shashanka Ghsoh, the movie also featured Ratna Pathak Shah and Kirron Kher.
