Thalaiva is Back! Rajinikanth looks Suave in latest poster of Kabali

As far as fans of Tamil cinema are concerned, Rajinikanth is a name that needs no introduction at all. During his nearly 30-year-long career, 'Thalaiva’ has established himself as an synonym for greatness courtesy his stylish mannerisms, towering personality and humble nature.

Perhaps that is why countless movie buffs went into a state of absolute frenzy when the latest poster of his upcoming filmKabali was released amidst fanfare. In it, Rajinikanth is seen sporting a stylish suit a grey-haired look. As expected, he carries of his latest avatar with effortless grace and charm.  As far has Kabali is concerned, it is a mob-drama and features Rajinikanth in the role of an ageing don. Besides the veteran actor, it also stars Nasser, Radhika Apte and Kishore in pivotal roles.

First Look: Rajnikanth and Deepika's Kochadaiyaan

Kochadaiyaan is an upcoming Tamil period film directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin and featuring Rajinikanth alongside Deepika Padukone.

If all goes as planned, then Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiiyaan" will most likely release on his birthday Dec 12 worldwide, says a source close to the film's unit.

"The makers want it to be Rajini sir's birthday gift and in turn a treat for his fans. The idea is to release it on his birthday provided everything goes as smoothly as planned. We are currently busy with the post-production work," said a source.

Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone at the mahurat of their next film "Rana"

Rana (Tamil: ராணா; Hindi: राणा) is forthcoming Tamil historical action film, co-written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar starring Rajinikanth, whose story the film will be based upon. The film will be jointly produced by Ocher Picture Productions and Eros International. The film will feature cinematography by R. Rathnavelu and music composed by A. R. Rahman. Filming will commence on 20 April 2011 and is expected to be simultaneously made in Hindi and dubbed in Telugu, all three of which are slated for release in 2012
