Kiran suggested moving out of India: Aamir on Intolerance issue

There has been a lot of buzz in the country about the growing 'intolerance' among Indians. Aamir Khan touched upon this topic at a recent event and made some rather controversial statements. He said, "As an individual, as part of this country as a citizen, we read in the papers what is happening, we see it on the news and certainly, I have been alarmed. I can't deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents. When I chat with Kiran at home, she says 'Should we move out of India?' That's a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me."

When Aamir Khan put the transistor down for Hrithik's Bang Bang dare!

We remember the controversial PK poster which had Aamir Khan posing in the nude except for a transistor that hung over him. Hrithik's Bang Bang dare was a cheeky one this time, addressed to Aamir. He wrote, “By POPULAR DEMAND! today's #bangbangdare goes 2 d man himself THE PK! @aamir_khan! Your dare is -" PUT THE TRANSISTOR DOWN!!"

“Nahin karoge to punishment milega! Who bhi bangbang style mein! Kya bolte ho logon? ACCEPT?? @aamir_khan,” he added.

And Aamir was game for it!

We saw Salman don the Dhoom 3 hat for buddy Aamir many a time during the promotions. Now, it is Aamir's turn to return the favour. Trust Aamir to find a special way to do so. Aamir tweeted this picture of Salman and him saying, "Do dost ek jhaad pe susu kartein hain toh dosti badti hai" 1 day to go...Jai Ho!!!".

After getting rave reviews for his show Satyamev Jayate, Aamir Khan has garnered another feather in his cap.

He has been featured on the cover of the Time magazine for the month of Septemeber 2012. Aamir is the third Indian actor after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Parveen Babi to be featured on the cover. Sachin Tendulkar was the last Indian to be featured on the cover.

The question Time has posed to its readers is, Khan's Quest - Can one actor change a nation?.
