Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon Movie Review

Kapil Sharma might enjoy an overwhelming fan following but the fact remains that he is no actor. He is a comic and far from being an understated one at that. He is loud, juvenile and in the case of this film, he seems disinterested to play up his hit vivacious side. It can't be good news that Arbaaz Khan has more laughs to offer than Kapil, with his Madhusudhan Phupha-ji reinvented avatar. Varun-Choocha-Sharma's impromptu gags were crackling. To put it bluntly, most actors in this film were better than Kapil who barely manages to evoke a smile with all his puerile antics on display. It is disappointing that the man who entertains prime-time audiences better than Arnab does in his Newshour, is mediocre in his debut film. Stage-fright, performance pressure and his attempt to portray himself differently pulls down Kapil. Varun and Arbaaz are left to pull the film on their wobbly shoulders, with poorly written characters to play.

Calendar Girls Movie Review

One of our biggest fallacies was believing that Madhur Bhandarkar’s films are rooted in reality. They never were and seven years after Priyanka Chopra sizzled in Fashion, Calendar Girls has nothing that he hasn’t shown us in that film before. If you want to jot down his recipe of this disaster, here’s how it rolls – 1 kilo of Fashion, 500 gms of Page 3, 500 gms of Heroine, 100 gms of Corporate and 50 gms of Jail, with a sprinkling of fresh tacky actresses to top up this fiasco. The film stinks of Madhur’s past mistakes and you can’t help but feel bad for people like Suhel Seth, who’ve gone so bankrupt that they needed to sell their soul to this devilish confection. Mr Seth, we bet a few of your fans are hospitalized after watching you in this debacle.
In an attempt to torture people lesser than what we suffered, we will keep the plot minimalistic in this – five girls are handpicked to don the glossy pages of a popular fashion calendar but not all become survivors. We hardly ever notice these perfect-porcelain-faced beauties who are unmemorable enough to slip into oblivion. The film quite mirrors than and doesn’t even aspire to join higher ranks of its director’s works.

‘Dangal Shuru’ with trollers on Twitter for Aamir Khan!

Twitter trolls have now become an every minute affair. The first look of Aamir Khan’s Dangal was released a couple of days back and the very next minute it was trolled extensively. The poster has Aamir’s face on it that can be seen covered with earth, reminding all about the earthy theme of the film.
The biopic on Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh and his daughters, commenced shooting and hence the poster read, “aaj se Dangal shuru”. But little did the makers know that it could refer to Troll-Dangal.
Twitterati came in from all directions. Not only calling him clayface to shit-faced to down to earth to Piku’s Julab, there were various trolls that came up.
Take a look at a few!

Why always the same story?’ Watch the 'Tamasha’ trailer!

The ‘Tamasha’ trailer is out and we are loving it! ‘Tamasha’ is the story of Ved and Tara – Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who set out on a carefree and wild journey.
Ved recalls the story of a person, busy with everyday 9-5 boring job but finally he steps out of his dull life and finds his heroine. And the heroine turns out to be Deepika, who is a no-qualms girl and doesn’t find speaking her heart out. So the hero and heroine set out on a journey with the thought – “What happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica”.
But life takes a turn when Tara realises the person she loved doesn’t exist in real! Kahaani me twist? Yes, that’s what Imtiaz Ali’s story promises with the tagline – ‘Why always the same story?’
