The Ernakulam Family Court on Wednesday reserved the decision on the mutual divorce petition moved by actor Kavya Madhavan and Nishal Chandramohan to Saturday.
The court posted the decision to Saturday after recording the statements of both the parties. Kavya and Nishal appeared before the court for the hearing on Wednesday at 4 pm.
Both arrived at the court separately. Though the court sent them to the counsellor, both of them stuck on to their stand they cannot go ahead together. The couple submitted before the court that there were no cases pending before any court and a No Objection Certificate will be submitted before the High Court where a petition filed by Kavya is pending.
Kavya got married to Nishal, a software engineer working in Kuwait in December 2008. She left for Kuwait in February 2009, but returned home in June the same year and did not go back thereafter.
