Mira Jacob and Jed Rothstein at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards

Apart from Abhi-Ash, Ashutosh and Mallika, we spotted another Indian gal on the Oscar red carpet. Mira Jacob was seen in a red lehenga choli. She was seen accompanying Jed Rothstein, Oscar-nominee for Best Documentary (Short Subject). I must say she looked lovely in Indian wear. But the lehenga as such has a dated look to it.

  1. Whoever is Mira Jacob, I absolutely love her!!! Atleast NRI's are not ashamed of showing off their ethnic Indian culture unlike Indians..

  4. Her outfit is terrible...it's so 1990s. She should have just worn those colorful anarkali suits currently in fashion or a classic sari.

  5. NRIs always wear the worst looking Indian fashions. She could've visited India and picked out a pretty dress, this looks so cheap and ill-fitting... like something a 10 year old would wear.

  6. SO WHAT IF its dated - the americans dont know whats old whats new -her hair is gorgeous...bettr than our aish showing off in a unflattering bulgy dress...kind of disappointed in aish really - the only time she looked hot at an awards show abroad was the cannes devdas sari = WOW my jaws dropped then

  7. Mira Jacob - just googled her, she's the editor of the Parenting section of Yahoo.com's Womens portal called Shine. She's written on various publications. Grew up in New Mexico and now in New York.
